The Artists

The Process

Consultation

It's usually a good idea to meet your artist at least once prior to your tattoo appointment. This initial consultation allows you a chance to present your idea to your artist. It also allows your artist to take a look at any reference you might have, get an idea of how the piece will sit on your body, and inform you of any potential problems that might arise with your design. A good dialogue between you and your artist is important to be sure the artist has a clear idea of what you want.

It is best to call and set up a time to meet with your artist to ensure they have sufficient time to go over the details of your design. Just stopping in is fine, just understand that your artist might be busy with another client and you may have to wait.

If you are unable to meet in person, we can discuss your design over the phone, or you can use our contact section to send us an e-mail You can even send along any reference or sketches you might have so we can get a better idea of what you are looking for.

Schedule Your Appointment

We will do our best to get you in as soon as possible for your appointment. Weekends are usually the first to fill up, so if you need a Saturday appointment you'll want to make it as early as possible. It's usually a good idea to have your schedule available when you call, or maybe have a couple days in mind to shoot for.

The day of your appointment

Please try to show up on time. It's courteous to call as early as possible if you are unable to make your appointment or if you are running late. If something comes up and you can't make it, we understand, just try to give us as much notice as possible so we can fill your appointment with someone else.

It's usually a good idea to eat before you come get a tattoo. Not that you have to have a big meal right before you come... even a quick snack is better that getting work done on an empty stomach.

Some people like to bring a friend to talk to while they are getting work done. It helps pass the time and take your mind off the actual process of getting a tattoo. Just don't bring the whole family please, and definitely not young children. Only one other person is allowed in the room at a time, so if a bunch of people come with you, they'll just end up sitting in the waiting room... bored.

After your tattoo

After you get your tattoo, it's up to you to take care of it properly to make sure it heals correctly and will look as good as it possibly can for years to come. Please refer to our detailed aftercare instructions to learn how to care for your new tattoo.

Pricing

Estimates

The price of a tattoo varies depending on size, number of colors, complexity of the piece, and location on the body. At your initial consultation we are usually able to at least give you a rough estimate. Smaller pieces are easier to quote, but larger pieces are hard to give a concrete price on, due to all the potential variables.

We will do our best to give you as accurate an estimate as possible, but in the end, it all comes down to "how much time will the artist have invested in your tattoo". It's easier to have a feel for how long a small piece will take. Larger pieces however (especially multi-session work) can vary a lot more. How well you can sit, your skin type, where you are getting the tattoo, etc. all play a role in how long it will take. We simply don't know until we get started.

Price Shopping

Price shopping for a tattoo is unheard of! You should make sure you feel good about the ability of your artist to give you a tattoo you will be happy with. It's going to be on your body for the rest of your life. Don't you think you should be more concerned with the quality of the work, instead of how cheap you can get it done?

We are an art-based studio and strive to give our clients high-quality, unique tattoos that will stand the test of time. We understand you have a budget and we will work with you to stay within it as much as we can. If you're looking for "cheap", chances are we're not your place. As the saying goes... "Good tattoos usually aren't cheap, and cheap tattoos usually aren't good!"
